Nomad Go, a startup based in Bellevue, Washington, has raised $1.5 million in funding to support its computer vision software that automatically counts inventory. The company’s software, called Metashelf, uses artificial intelligence, edge AI computer vision, spatial computing, and augmented reality to scan inventory and provide instantaneous counts of items. Users can use an iPad or iPhone to scan inventory in various locations without changing anything about their environment. The software provides instant feedback to the user and submits the inventory job at the end. Nomad Go currently focuses on the food service market and is used by quick-serve restaurants, food distributors, and grocery stores. The company plans to use the funding to hire more people in engineering and customer success to meet the increasing demand for its service.
