Databricks has announced its acquisition of the team behind the AI startup Einblick. Einblick has spent the past four years building an AI-native collaboration platform that can solve data problems in one sentence. Databricks plans to incorporate Einblick’s AI-native approach directly into its own platform, allowing organizations to democratize data intelligence and create the next generation of AI applications. The price of the acquisition has not been disclosed. This is Databricks’ fourth acquisition in the past year, following the acquisitions of Arcion, Mosaic ML, and Okera. Databricks CEO Ali Ghodsi says that the company’s strategy is to focus on R&R and M&A while expanding globally, rather than going public. Einblick was founded in 2019 by researchers from MIT and Brown University.
Databricks grabs Einblick, adding AI firepower to their team.
